This fine character is a police officer and he is going to be undercover as he tracks down the one and only Rex Fury, who has recently escaped. McCain has many options available at his call. The classic humor you expect with LEGO is still there as well. Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, will be to sort through the bad guys and grab a hold of Rex Fury before he gets away.
Your mission will be to investigate different districts throughout the game, each district containing its own mayhem and bad guys. Collectibles will help you advance in the game. Collect red bricks, people, vehicles, 5 blocks, and gold bricks. There are character tokens are hiding throughout the city. If you can find them, it will issue you a new disguise to add to your collection.
Along the way, you are going to be faced with challenges such as catching aliens, smashing ATM machines, arrest gangs, activate the disguise booth, and steal vehicles. You must try something to see if it works; if it unlocks or opens and closes. This keeps the game interesting at all levels. There are areas throughout the town that are blocked off and the only way you can gain entrance is to play through the main city to unlock the different areas.
You will then need to go back and collect or enter what was restricted when you went through. When playing the game, I could see why it would be great for a younger audience who wants a game that allows them to use their imagination. I was able to just play around and destroy things, steal cars and drive under bridges, and run onto the sidewalk.
This is the third series of Spyro and the game is built based on the same storyline but with new play options. Building on the original storyline is not only a great way to connect to the game, it leaves you anticipating the next version coming out. It is a game that you can spend a lot of time on and there is so many little things to the game that makes is more personal. If only the real world could be this organized.
